HCS SB 270 -- PEACE OFFICER STANDARDS AND TRAINING

This bill increases the number of members on the Peace Officer
Standards and Training (POST) Commission from nine to 11 by
including two members that are peace officers at or below the
rank of sergeant employed by a political subdivision.  No more
than two members of the commission can reside in the same
congressional district, and no two members may be employees of
the same law enforcement agency.

The bill also allows the Director of the Department of Public
Safety to establish rules to implement the POST Program.
